KBeauty Stars of Instagram: Interview with Sharon (@sherhearti)

Hey Sharon (@sherhearti), thanks for taking part! You're the first KBeauty influencer from Israel on my Lucky Blog which is really exciting. Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?

Hey, I'm excited to be the first one from Israel! My name is Sharon, I'm 25 years old, studying Software Engineering here in Israel and I work in the field. I love illustrating, watching tv shows and movies in my spare time :) and of course Instagram! I have really dry skin and prone to hormonal acne, redness and texture issues. I really love Korean culture and especially KBeauty!

How did you discover KBeauty?

I got into Korean dramas about three years ago, I watched a few that featured sheet masks so I was really intrigued by them and wanted to try them out. In Israel we don't really have KBeauty brands (Tony Moly is the first one that opened here and it opened about a month ago) but I traveled to England back then so I went to a KBeauty store in London and bought a few sheet masks by Tony Moly and Innisfree. After trying the sheetmasks out I fell completely in love with KBeauty!

You're so passionate about KBeauty and you also run a dedicated KBeauty blog too. What was it that got you obsessed with KBeauty?

The packaging is the thing that got me interested in it at first because they put so much thought into the packaging, but the quality is what made me stick by KBeauty. They put so much work into the formulation of the products! The price is also amazing, there are so much affordable KBeauty products that work much better than Western products that costs double as much.

Do you notice a difference between KBeauty and Western skincare?

Yes, I used to use a few Western brands before getting into KBeauty and after starting to use KBeauty I noticed how different they are, the Western products I used all had bad alcohol and super strong scents, they were really harsh for my skin and felt like they were stripping my skin barrier but KBeauty have products that fit so many skin types and are very mild. They put more thought into hydrating the skin and keeping it strong, that's why I love KBeauty so much!

What's your everyday morning skincare routine?

I would usually use a facial pad to cleanse my face, after that a toner, serum, cream and sunscreen. I prefer a more minimal routine in the morning, if it is winter time I'll probably add an essence to the routine.

What's your everyday makeup routine like?

I usually use a hydrating bb cream, blush, lip tint, concealer and mascara. If I feel fancy I will use warm tones or pink eyeshadow.

What's your night time skincare routine?

In night time I usually do a long routine, I will start with double cleansing, then will use a toner, essence, serum/ampoule, eye cream, face cream, facial oil/night mask. Some nights I will also use sheets masks or chemical exfoliants.

If you were to recommend 5 Kbeauty products for a friend who's never tried.KBeauty before, what 5 products would they be?

These are 5 of my holy grail Korean skincare products.

  • Cosrx - Advanced Snail Mucin 96 Power Essence: this essence is absolutely beautiful. It hydrates, plumps, brightens, tones the skin and has anti aging benefits. Even though it is a snail essence it's not very slimy and it absorbs beautifully!
  • Benton - Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel: A wwonderfull light gel, very soothing, absorbs fast and treats acne. I really love using in summer time (because in winter it's not enough for my dry skin).
  • Missha - Time revolution FTE (Intensive Moist): This is my favorite essence, it's a fermented essence so it absorbs really deeply into the skin. It's very plumping, smoothing and hydrating. When i use this my skin just feels super soft and smooth. It really helps with my texture issues and it's also anti aging.
  • Purito - Centella Green Level Calming Toner: A really amazing toner from purito, this toner is really watery, absorbs really well and it very soothing. I love using this one because it's hydrating and it really helps preventing acne and blemishes. It also treats them really well.
  • Cosrx - Cooling Aqua Facial Mist: This is my alltime favorite mist, it's super fine, pretty small so you can carry it in your bag, great for travel and flights and it's super hydrating. I would just use this when my skin is starting to feel a bit dry. It's also works well over makeup.

  • Is there any KBeauty product (skincare or makeup) that is currently on your wish list?

Haha I have way to many to say. I would say one of the top brands on my list right now is Krave Beauty, I'm hoping to get their products soon :)

What is your most memorable and loved KBeauty product? Any story behind it that you'd like to share?

One of my all time favorite is the cosrx mist that I mentioned, I have great memories attached to it because I used it a lot in my trip to Prague. It was really cold back then so my skin was super dry, I used it pretty much all the time there and on the plane ^^ also took some beautiful pictures with it over mesmerizing Prague.
