Luckyface Beauty supports gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls

Letter from Emilie (founder of Luckyface Beauty)

This November, Luckyface Beauty is supporting UN Women UK to support gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls all over the world. This is a cause that is so close to my heart because as the daughter of political refugees, I’ve been lucky enough to be supported in my own personal and business life by women in my own community through mentorship, education and access to inclusive business programmes. This is why it is so important for me to find a way to help other women in areas where they need support.

When I was researching which organisation to support, UN Women UK immediately stood out to me. Their grassroots programmes all over the world is able to help women on the ground - from women refugees who want to become entrepreneurs to women who have experienced violence in post-conflict war environments. But what really makes UN Women UK stand out to me is their policy work which creates long-term change from the very top.  In fact, they’ve successfully worked with the President of Malawi to make child marriage illegal. That’s why this November, 20% of the Glow Kits and Glass Skin Kits will be donated to UN Women UK.

Over the next few weeks, Luckyface Beauty will be sharing some of the projects that this great organisation is working on and the stories of the women it has helped on The Lucky Blog.

I hope that you can share these with your friends and family too and I hope that together we can work towards creating a safer and fairer future for women everywhere.

Best Emilie
